Responsible Market

To try, to exchange, to taste and, especially, to buy responsibly. Visit our Responsible Market and don’t forget to bring your kids with you. We invite you to visit the booths of well-known companies and startups which will offer you their socially-responsible products and services. For the little ones we have prepared healthy snacks, wooden toys or ergonomic carriers. The older kids may enjoy courses of sorting waste, programming or dental care. Your guide for this year’s Responsible Market will be Kristína Tormová.

We have a special guest coming at 16:30! Dano Heriban and his band will make an appearance at the Responsible Marketplace. He is already looking forward to performing the songs from his new album Čosi úsmevné (Something Cheerful), which was released this June. It’s full of adventures and beautiful stories. Dano composed all the songs and also wrote some of the lyrics. You can look forward to songs like Čosi úsmevné (Something Cheerful), Trafená (Crazy), Rodičia (Parents), Kozikuzi, and Slon Emil (Emil the Elephant), which will be played live at our Responsible Marketplace.

NOSENE will be helping us bring the popular SWAP to our Responsible Marketplace. All parents and children are invited – stop by and give your clothes a second chance by swapping them with others. Bring some nice pieces of clothing you no longer want and feel free to take someone else’s. The event will take place between 15:00 and 19:00, giving you the opportunity to swap women’s and men’s clothing as well as clothes for children up to 12 years old. You can find our swap spot upstairs, on the left side of the Old Market Hall. Entry is free – just keep in mind that there is a limit of 20 pieces of clothing per person. Nosene will use whatever clothes are left after the SWAP and then decide to either breathe new life into them, recycle them, or donate them in order to help abused women.
